Have you ever made an egg bounce? In this experiment, an acid/base reaction breaks down the egg's shell while its membrane remains intact. The result is a naked egg!
2 materials: • an egg • vinegar
Lemon juice is an organic substance that oxidizes and turns brown when heated. Diluting the lemon juice in water makes it hard to see when applied to a sheet of paper. No one will be aware of its presence until it is heated and the secret message is revealed.
4 materials: • lemon juice • cotton swab • printer paper • a source of heat (the sun or a lamp)
Don’t toss that juice pouch from your child’s next snack time. With just a few embellishments, your little ones can create their very own rocket launcher!
This rocket uses the power of compressed air to launch into the sky, otherwise known as pneumatics!

In this experiment, we learn about cloud and rain formation! When tiny water droplets inside of clouds combine to become too heavy to hold, they fall to the ground as rain. Similarly, in this experiment, when the colored water becomes too abundant for the shaving cream to bear, we observe rainbow rain!

Have you ever seen a lemon volcanic eruption? The citric acid in the lemon juice reacts with a base, baking soda, to create Carbon Dioxide. This gas is released in bubbles and fizzing.
